iGA Unveils eKey 2.0 App at Innovation Summit for Housing Sector

Sakhir: The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) is participating in the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, under the theme "Towards Sustainable Housing Solutions".

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event is taking place from April 23-25 at the Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir. It serves as a strategic platform to showcase the latest innovations in the housing sector, with participation from government entities and private sector organizations from Bahrain and abroad.

As part of its participation in the accompanying exhibition, the iGA is showcasing a range of digital solutions developed in collaboration with various government and private sector entities. These solutions support the housing sector by streamlining real estate services for citizens and providing an integrated and convenient housing experience. The initiatives leverage advanced digital technologies to ease the journey towards housing ownership and accelerate digital transformation in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

Among the key initiatives presented by the iGA is the recently launched eKey 2.0 mobile app, which enables secure and unified access to government services through biometric facial authentication, eliminating the need for passwords. The app is a key component in enhancing the efficiency of digital services in the housing sector, particularly with its integration with the "Bayti" platform. This platform provides housing finance and ownership services in collaboration with Eskan Bank, reflecting the iGA's commitment to digital transaction security, personal data privacy, and simplified Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. These efforts help to speed up verification processes and facilitate access to housing services in a convenient and efficient manner.

The iGA is also showcasing the "MyGov" application, which allows citizens to access a wide range of government services and view official documents. The app offers 41 services from nine government entities. Additionally, the iGA is presenting services available through the national portal bahrain.bh.

The Information and eGovernment Authority invites the public to visit its pavilion at the Innovation Summit in Hall 8 at the Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir, from April 23-25, to learn more about the latest electronic services and digital projects supporting the housing sector.
