iGA Ensures Continued Access to Essential Civil Services Through Digital Platforms

Manama: The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) has confirmed the sustained availability of essential civil services such as identity card, civil registration, and birth and death certificate services through digital channels. This move comes in response to current circumstances and aims to protect the wellbeing of citizens and residents.

According to Bahrain News Agency, services can be accessed via the Kingdom of Bahrain's national portal, bahrain.bh, and through the MyGov application available on the government application store at bahrain.bh/apps. The authority has encouraged the public to use these digital platforms to efficiently complete their transactions.

The iGA emphasized that individuals experiencing difficulties with online services related to identity cards, civil registration, births, deaths, and addresses have access to remote customer support. Appointments for assistance can be booked through iga.gov.bh, allowing individuals to receive scheduled video calls with an authority representative.

Furthermore, the authority stated that its customer service centres in Isa Town and Muharraq are operational daily during Ramadan from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, but require prior appointment booking in accordance with established procedures. The self-service centre remains open 24 hours a day.

For additional information and inquiries, the public is advised to contact the Government Services Contact Centre at +80008001, use the national suggestions and complaints system Tawasul or the Tawasul application, and follow the authority's official social media accounts at @igabahrain for the latest updates.
