iGA chief discusses mutual cooperation with Digital Dubai Director-General

Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed, met here Digital Dubai Director-General, Hamad Al Mansoori, with whom he discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation in technology and digital transformation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.

A delegation from the iGA was present at the meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2022 in Dubai.

Al Qaed praised the progress that the UAE has achieved, particularly Dubai, in the deployment of advanced technology, highlighting Digital Dubai’s contributions in providing advanced eServices that help attract investments. The success of the UAE’s technology sector reflects the country’s robust infrastructure and the effectiveness of its digital initiatives and policies.

He affirmed that Bahrain and UAE are moving forward with their eGovernment and digital strategies, in line with future trends, particularly when it comes to offering efficient and high quality services. This will help both countries achieve high eGovernment rankings and enhance mutual digital transformation efforts. He underlined the importance of exploring the success stories of each country, considering that Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is essential to their future visions for all aspects of life.

Al Qaed and Al Mansoori discussed the importance of data in formulating strategies and providing decision-makers with meticulously accurate information, as well as its role in enabling innovative and creative digital initiatives.

Al Qaed praised the level of cooperation and coordination between the two countries across all fields, including technology, and wished further success for the UAE.
