The International Civil Defence Organisation (ICDO) Secretary-General Njoupouo YAP Mariatou honoured a number of personalities during a ceremony marking the 90th anniversary of the organization.
She presented the General Directorate of Civil Defence Director-General Brigadier Ali Mohammed Al Hooti with the Officer insignia International Order of Civil Defence International Order of Civil Defence in recognition of Bahrain’s efforts to support cooperation regarding training and competence building.
Brig. Al Hoooti stressed the importance of local and international coordination to mitigate the detrimental impact of disasters and accidents and provide a safe environment for the population.
He underlined Bahrain’s support to the civil defence to confront challenges and enhance the level of safety as part of efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.
He thanked ICDO Secretary-General Njoupouo YAP Mariatou for this initiative, hailing the organisation’s efforts to protect human lives and promote national and global competence building.
