Manama: Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB) will host the ICCA Middle East Summit 2025 from September 1-2, convening key regional and international stakeholders from the meetings and industry events sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the summit, organized in partnership with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), marks its debut in Bahrain, reinforcing the Kingdom's strategic role as a growing center for business events in the region. The event will feature a focused agenda, including panel discussions, case studies, workshops, and structured networking, all addressing critical topics shaping the global MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) landscape.
The summit will introduce the ICCA Middle East Recognition Awards, designed to acknowledge institutional excellence and innovation within the region's business events sector. Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and Chairperson of EWB, emphasized that hosting the regional summit aligns with EWB's mission to bolster the Kingdom's position as a hub for global business and knowledge exchange. She expressed eagerness in welcoming key stakeholders who are shaping the MICE sector in the region.
Dr. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, noted the organization's enthusiasm to bring the next Middle East Summit to Bahrain, underscoring the Kingdom's robust infrastructure, government support, and strategic appeal for the global meetings industry. He highlighted that the summit will provide insights into innovation and high-tech developments, including the impact of artificial intelligence on destination marketing, while offering unparalleled networking opportunities.
