Manama: The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, visited several majlises, including those of the Kanoo, Al Jishi, and Al Khuzai families, as well as the majlis of His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, and the majlis of the late Yousuf Khalil Almoayyed.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized that the ambitions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa are steering the Kingdom's comprehensive development and shaping national priorities. The Deputy King highlighted that Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 continues to focus on enhancing the wellbeing of the Kingdom's citizens, reflecting His Majesty's belief in fulfilling citizens' aspirations as central to national progress.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted the significant growth of the national economy, which has expanded more than fivefold since 2000. He pointed out the transformative impact of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 since its launch in 2008, noting the substantial contribution of non-oil sectors to GDP, now exceeding 84 percent. His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for the dedication and creativity of Bahraini citizens across various sectors, acknowledging their role in the Kingdom's ongoing advancement.
During the visits, HRH the Deputy King exchanged Ramadan greetings, emphasizing the importance of the holy month in fostering unity and social cohesion. He underscored the role of Ramadan majlises in preserving Bahrain's traditions and reinforcing national unity.
The heads of the majlises expressed gratitude for His Royal Highness' engagement with society and conveyed their hopes for the Kingdom's continued progress. His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and other senior officials were also present during the visits.
