Manama, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today sent a congratulatory cable to the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, HE Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, on assuming the presidency of the current session of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) during the 32nd conference of AIPU, held in Cairo, Egypt.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister wished HE Zainal success in enhancing the role of the AIPU in supporting cooperation and coordination among Arab parliaments, to serve the region and achieve the aspirations of its people.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the distinguished status enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain at the regional and international levels, as well as the skillset and experience of Bahraini nationals, which has entitled them to assume responsibilities and hold various regional posts.
