HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulated by the Minister of Labour and Social Development

His Royal Highness Prince Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has received a congratulatory cable from the Minister of Labour and Social Development Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, HE Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, commemorating Bahrain’s continued Tier 1 status in the U.S. Department of State’s 2021 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report. The Kingdom has been included as a Tier 1 country in the Department of State’s Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report for four consecutive years.

HE the Minister noted that, under the leadership of His Royal Highness, Bahrain continues to strive to prevent and eradicate human trafficking, elevating its standing among developed nations and expanding its list of accomplishments, under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

HE the Minister attributed Bahrain’s success to His Royal Highness’s directives to foster an inclusive environment that addresses trafficking in persons, creating a regulatory environment that promotes development, while safeguarding human rights.

HE the Minister reaffirmed that Bahrain’s achievements reflect the Kingdom’s belief that safeguarding workers’ rights and promoting increased cooperation and social dialogue serve as the foundations for sustainable development.
