Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has issued Edict (59) of 2025, which amends certain provisions of Edict (11) of 2023 concerning the reformation of the National Committee for the Elderly. This decision follows the submission from the Minister of Social Development.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the amendment involves replacing Clause (3) of Paragraph I of Article I of the previous edict. The new provision states that a member of the Supreme Council for Women will represent the Council on the National Committee for the Elderly. Additionally, Paragraph II of Article I has been updated to specify that the entities outlined in Clauses (3), (5), and (6) of the preceding paragraph must designate their representatives to the Committee.
The edict mandates that relevant authorities carry out its provisions within their respective capacities. It is set to take effect from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
