It will propose policies, plans, initiatives, and training programs for the development of women's sports, aligned with the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2025-2026). Additionally, the committee will recommend measures to increase women's representation in sports federations and committees at local, regional, and international levels.

Moreover, the committee will foster coordination among government entities, the private sector, and civil society, including national sports clubs and youth centers, to bolster support for women's sports. It will also work on highlighting women's achievements in sports and reviewing budget allocations for women's sports activities.

The decision outlines that the membership term for the Women in Sports Committee is set at two years, with the possibility of renewal. The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women will be responsible for appointing committee members and regulating its work.
