President of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa extended sincere congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the 20th anniversary of SCW. He underscored the tremendous support accorded to Bahraini women by HRH Princess Sabeeka in various developmental sectors, in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and under the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The SCH President praised the achievements of SCW over the past two decades, underlining the remarkable contribution of Bahraini women to promoting the health sector. He pointed out that three Bahraini women have taken up the post of Health Minister so far which reflects the role of SCW in empowering Bahraini women. He also affirmed the contribution of Bahraini women in the legislative field and in boosting the kingdom’s democratic march.
The SCH President hailed the pivotal role of Bahraini women in the national taskforce and in the front lines since the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, commending their enormous sacrifice and dedication in serving Bahrain and ensuring the safety of all people.
