Riffa: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, met with Lieutenant General Nick Perry DSO MBE, Chief of Joint Operations in the United Kingdom, at Riffa Palace. The meeting included discussions with the accompanying UK delegation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, emphasizing bilateral cooperation and strategic partnerships. He expressed the shared commitment of both nations to deepen cooperation across various fields, particularly in the military and defence sectors. This cooperation aligns with existing partnerships and agreements, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (CSIPA).
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad commended the strategic nature of the bilateral relationship and underscored the importance of advancing coordination to support shared interests and aspirations. He also emphasized the critical role of the United Kingdom and its allies in safeguarding regional and international security, stability, and development.
The meeting included a review of the latest regional and international developments and issues of common interest.
