Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, met with His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at the Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting was part of Prime Minister Sharif's official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Pakistan, characterized by a history of partnerships and robust people-to-people connections. His Royal Highness emphasized the mutual commitment to advancing cooperation across various sectors, aligning with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The meeting underscored the thriving partnership between the two nations and the importance of enhancing relations to meet shared aspirations.
His Royal Highness also highlighted the significant contributions of the Pakistani community in Bahrain toward the Kingdom's development. During the talks, Prince Salman expressed gratitude for Pakistan's support for Bahrain's candidacy as a member of the United Nations Security Council. The discussions also touched on Pakistan's role in global security, stability, and support for Arab and Islamic causes.
The leaders discussed regional and international developments and explored opportunities to further cooperation. An official reception ceremony was held, featuring the national anthems of both countries, and attended by several senior officials.
