Wadi Al-Sail: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister attended a housing unit distribution ceremony for members of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) in Wadi Al-Sail and Galali. The event was held under his patronage as part of the 57th anniversary celebrations of the BDF's establishment.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the significant progress in the BDF's combat readiness, attributing this to the steadfast support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The King's support has played a crucial role in the development and modernization of Bahrain's military and defense sectors, enabling BDF members to effectively fulfill their duties in line with the Kingdom's development objectives.
His Royal Highness highlighted the BDF's vital role in enhancing regional security and stability alongside its allies. He reiterated Bahrain's commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at maintaining global security and peace. Prince Salman also expressed his pride in the BDF and congratulated them on their 57th anniversary.
During the ceremony, His Royal Highness viewed a model of the distributed housing units and congratulated the recipients. He acknowledged the dedication of those involved in the construction of the units, noting this achievement as part of integrated service projects provided by the BDF for its members. This initiative aligns with His Majesty the King's directives to ensure a high quality of life for Bahrain's citizens as part of the country's sustainable development goals.
His Royal Highness praised the efforts of Team Bahrain and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, along with relevant government agencies and the private sector, in advancing housing services for citizens. He stressed the importance of continued efforts to realize Bahrain's ambitious housing aspirations.
The ceremony was attended by His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, His Highness Lieutenant-General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, and other senior officials. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by senior officers from the BDF, Ministry of Interior, and the National Guard.
