Gudaibiya: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, met with Vice Admiral Edward Ahlgren, the United Kingdom's Defence Senior Advisor to the Middle East and North Africa, at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting focused on reinforcing the historic military and defence partnership between Bahrain and the United Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, HRH Prince Salman highlighted the long-standing strategic relationship between the two Kingdoms, emphasizing the mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation to achieve shared objectives. The successful bilateral ties are supported by agreements such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which the UK recently joined. These agreements aim to improve coordination, foster development, and create opportunities beneficial to both nations.
HRH Prince Salman also acknowledged the United Kingdom's role in supporting regional and global security and stability alongside its allies. Discussions during the meeting included topics of common interest, further strengthening the bilateral partnership, and reviewing the latest regional and global developments.
His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, was also present at the meeting.
