Kuwait city: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, took part in the 29th joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Benelux countries, which convened in Kuwait. This significant meeting was co-chaired by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and Chairman of the current session of the Ministerial Council, along with Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General GCC, was also in attendance.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions centered around the enduring relationships between the GCC and the Benelux countries, exploring avenues for enhanced cooperation in areas such as economic growth, trade, investment, and other fields of mutual concern. The meeting also provided a platform for both parties to deliberate on pressing regional and international developments and their implications for global peace and security. Moreover, efforts towards achieving a just and lasting peace in the region were at the forefront of the discussions.
In addition to these topics, the participants examined ways to strengthen coordination and consultation on significant regional and international matters that are of shared interest, underlining the ongoing commitment to collaboration between the GCC and Benelux nations.
