HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Leads Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet welcomed His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who was appointed as the Minister of the Prime Minister's Court by a Royal Decree from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. The Cabinet extended its congratulations and best wishes for success in His Highness's new role, reaffirming the trust placed by His Majesty in the capabilities of Bahraini citizens to advance the Kingdom's development and progress.

The Cabinet commended the efforts of various government entities during Eid Al-Adha, ensuring public safety and the continued delivery of vital services throughout the holiday. It also congratulated Bahraini pilgrims on their safe return from Hajj and praised the Bahrain Pilgrimage Mission for its dedication to delivering high-quality services to pilgrims. Furthermore, the Cabinet expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for its efforts in serving Hajj pilgrims and congratulated it on the success of this year's Hajj season.

The Cabinet expressed pride in Bahrain's election to a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council for the 2026 - 2027 term, following a report submitted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. It also welcomed Bahrain's election to the Executive Board of UN Women for the 2026 - 2028 term, crediting the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa in empowering women.

The Cabinet affirmed the Kingdom's firm stance on advocating for peace and resolution of crises through dialogue and diplomatic means. It underscored the importance of halting military escalation and attacks between Israel and Iran, stressing the need for immediate de-escalation to safeguard regional stability. It also called for continued U.S.-Iranian negotiations on Iran's nuclear programme.

The Cabinet discussed regional developments and their implications for security and stability. It reviewed a presentation by His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on the Kingdom's preparedness to address civil emergencies, directing the continued implementation of protective measures for public welfare.

The Cabinet confirmed various assurances, including enhanced security readiness, availability of essential goods, uninterrupted flow of goods, sufficient pharmaceutical stocks, stable electricity and water supplies, operational readiness of shelters, and repatriation efforts for citizens stranded abroad. It reassured citizens and residents of the Kingdom's full mobilisation to maintain security, stability, and access to essential services.

The Cabinet extended condolences to India following a tragic plane crash and approved several memorandums, including those on the Women Exporters in the Digital Economy Fund and Bahrain's contributions to regional organisations. It also noted ministerial reports on Bahrain's participation in various international meetings and conferences.
