HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Discusses Food Security with LuLu Group Chairman

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, held a meeting with Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman and Managing Director of LuLu Group International, at Gudaibiya Palace.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Royal Highness emphasized the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, focusing on supporting food security amidst current circumstances. Collective measures are being taken to ensure market stability and service efficiency. These measures include the availability of essential consumer goods and the smooth operation of supply chains for both citizens and residents.

HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister pointed out the integration between government agencies and the private sector, which plays a crucial role in supporting Bahrain's food security system and enhancing the national economy. This collaboration underscores the private sector's role in supporting the Kingdom's comprehensive development.

Additionally, His Royal Highness commended ongoing efforts by authorities to monitor market conditions, strengthen oversight, and enhance coordination with stakeholders. These efforts aim to maintain the consistent availability of goods, stabilize prices, meet daily consumer needs, and bolster consumer confidence.

His Royal Highness also acknowledged the contribution of LuLu Group International in ensuring the supply of food and consumer goods, particularly during challenging times.

Mr. Yusuff Ali expressed gratitude to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his support of the Kingdom's private sector. He affirmed LuLu Group International's commitment to securing food supply and enhancing Bahrain's food security.

The meeting was attended by HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
