His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from the Chairman of the Shura Council, HE Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, marking the World Press Freedom Day and Bahrain Press Day.
HE Al Saleh praised the Government’s efforts, chaired by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to further develop the Kingdom’s press sector, as one of the most fundamental sources highlighting the Kingdom’s achievements, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa..
In the cable, HE Al Saleh took pride in the success of the national press over eight decades in facing various challenges and difficulties and preserving the national identity, appreciating the great role played by journalists, media professionals and opinion writers.
HE Al Saleh commended the national press for its commitment and responsibility in fulfilling its mission and role in supporting the Kingdom’s wide-ranging sustainable development process.
