HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today presided over the weekly Cabinet Meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace. The Cabinet extended its congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadhan.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet commended the outcomes of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s recent visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Sultanate of Oman. During these visits, successful meetings were held with notable leaders including His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; and His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq Al-Said, the Sultan of Oman. The Cabinet expressed its appreciation for the warm hospitality extended to HRH and his delegation.

The Cabinet extended congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on its Founding Day anniversary, celebrating the Kingdom’s achievements across multiple sectors. Moreover, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister directed the inauguration, restoration, and development of 60 mosques under the Sunni and Ja’fari Endowments across the Kingdom’s governorates, emphasizing the preservation of Islamic architectural identity.

Awards and recognitions were also highlighted, with the Cabinet congratulating the winners of the fifth edition of the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals, as well as participants of the 52nd Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition. The success of the World Entrepreneurship and Investment Forum (WEIF) 2026 and the active participation it garnered were noted.

The Cabinet acknowledged the engagement in Bahrain Sports Day by public and private sectors and welcomed the recognition of several Bahraini villages by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation for their efforts in reducing food waste. Additionally, the launch of the first phase of the one-stop air travel system between Bahrain and the UAE was welcomed, marking a significant step in GCC travel procedures.

Several memoranda were reviewed and approved, including steps for mutual recognition in food commodity transfers, plans for Ramadhan and Eid, and property expropriation for urban development. Progress reports on various initiatives and participation in international events were also reviewed, indicating ongoing development and international engagement.
