Manama: The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its approval of the recent announcement by U.S. President Donald J. Trump regarding a historic disarmament agreement in the Gaza Strip. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this agreement is a constructive step towards implementing a comprehensive peace plan, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people while promoting security, stability, and lasting peace in the region. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement appreciating the diplomatic efforts of the United States under President Trump's leadership, with assistance from Egypt, Qatar, Trkiye, the Board of Peace, and other regional and international partners, in facilitating this agreement. The Ministry highlighted the significance of joint action and multilateral diplomacy in fostering regional and international peace and security. The Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain's unwavering support for the comprehensive peace plan in line with United N ations Security Council Resolution 2803. It underscored the need to continue humanitarian aid, support recovery and reconstruction, facilitate the return of the Palestinian Authority to Gaza, and protect the Palestinians' legitimate rights. These rights include self-determination and establishing an independent state along the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as per international legitimacy resolutions and the two-state solution. This approach is intended to promote security, stability, and prosperity for all the region's inhabitants.
