HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister Chairs Cabinet Meeting Emphasizing National Priorities and International Achievements

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. The meeting coincided with the announcement of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Royal Order to convene the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives. The Cabinet expressed its eagerness for His Majesty's forthcoming address, which will open the fourth session of the sixth legislative term, viewing it as a key framework for defining national priorities and advancing the Kingdom's development.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet directed ministerial committees and government entities to enhance collaboration with the Legislative Authority to ensure the continuation of national interests. The Cabinet celebrated McLaren's victory in the Formula 1 Constructors' Championship, marking the team's tenth overall title and underscoring Bahrain's international successes in sports.

The Cabinet reviewed progress on directives by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to provide three job opportunities for every registered Bahraini jobseeker before year-end. They praised the efforts of the Ministry of Labour and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry in facilitating these opportunities. The Cabinet also highlighted HRH's recent visits to Vatican City and Italy, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties with both states.

The Cabinet reaffirmed its commitment to combating human trafficking, acknowledging Bahrain's Tier 1 status in the U.S. Department of State's Trafficking in Persons Report for eight consecutive years. The Cabinet expressed gratitude to relevant authorities for their efforts in maintaining this status.

The meeting also celebrated Bahrain's first place in the 2025 Microsoft Showcase Schools Program, attributing the achievement to the Ministry of Education's dedication to fostering innovation in education. Additionally, the Cabinet welcomed a peace plan presented by U.S. President Donald J. Trump, viewing it as a positive step towards achieving peace in the Middle East.

The Cabinet approved various memorandums, including economic and fiscal reports, cooperation in education and health projects, and international contributions. Notable progress was reported in employment and training targets, reflecting agreements with the Legislative Authority and the National Labour Market Plan.

The meeting concluded with reviews of ministerial reports on international visits and participation in global forums, highlighting Bahrain's active role in regional and international cooperation.
