Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, chaired the weekly Cabinet Meeting, focusing on regional security and domestic governance.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cabinet commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for visiting those injured in the recent Iranian aggression. This visit underscores the King's commitment to personally ensuring the well-being and treatment of the injured.
The Cabinet expressed gratitude to HM the King for acknowledging the efforts of the national workforce, including military, security, and civilian sectors, and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. The Cabinet applauded the Bahrain Defence Force, National Guard, Ministry of Interior, and other authorities for their preparedness and efficiency in handling the situation.
The Cabinet lauded Bahraini citizens contributing to Team Bahrain's efforts across sectors. It reviewed strategies to mitigate the impact of Iranian aggression, ensuring the availability of goods and services and maintaining supply chain flow.
Highlighting a joint statement by Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Jordan, the Cabinet condemned Iranian aggression and its proxies, particularly attacks by groups from Iraq. The Cabinet emphasized Bahrain's commitment to international peace and stability, marking the International Day of Conscience.
The Cabinet congratulated the newly elected Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its thirty-first session. It discussed and approved several memorandums, including a draft law on industrial zones and a plan to extend the outdoor midday work ban from June 15 to August 31.
Ministerial reports reviewed included Bahrain's participation in meetings addressing Iranian aggression, visits from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, the 165th session of the Arab League Council, and the GCC Transport Ministers' meeting. External participations and visits by allied ministers to Bahrain in April 2026 were also noted.
