Foreign Minister of Bahrain Engages in Critical Dialogue with Finnish Counterpart

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from Elina Valtonen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, during which they discussed recent regional developments and the heinous Iranian attack on the Kingdom of Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Valtonen expressed her country's condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain and countries in the region, and the resulting loss of life and damage to property. She affirmed Finland's solidarity with the Kingdom in the measures it is taking to safeguard its security and stability. The Finnish Minister also underscored the importance of protecting freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz for the global economy, commending the longstanding ties and cooperation between the two countries, and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain continued security and peace.

On his part, Dr. Al Zayani expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Minister Valtonen for her expressions of solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain in light of the unjustified Iranian attacks, and for Finland's support for the measures taken by the Kingdom to protect its security and stability. The Foreign Minister commended the relations and cooperation between the two countries and their continued development across various fields, wishing the Republic of Finland and its people continued security, progress, and prosperity.
