Housing Ministry Undersecretary Engages in GCC Housing Discussions in Kuwait

Manama: Fatima Ibrahim Al Mannai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, participated in the 26th GCC senior housing officials meeting in Kuwait.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions primarily centered on the joint Gulf housing plan for 2024-2030. Officials discussed the development of shared housing databases and the establishment of unified property ownership rules. They also explored potential agreements with organizations focused on housing, alongside plans for the proposed fourth GCC Housing Week.

Al Mannai also contributed to a panel on real estate financing, which took place on the sidelines of the third GCC Housing Week, held from May 18-22 in Kuwait. She highlighted the Ministry's updated policy, initiated in 2022, which has expanded its financing programs into six types of multipurpose options. Among these are Tas'heel, Mazaya, and the recently introduced Tas'heel+, which launched in April. She emphasized the Ministry's commitment to public-private partnerships and innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing social housing services and providing citizens with flexible housing solutions.
