Housing Ministry and Eskan Bank Showcase Initiatives at GCC Housing Conference

Kuwait city: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank took part in the Second GCC Housing Conference in Kuwait, presenting Bahrain's advancements in social housing and real estate development. During the panel discussions, both entities highlighted their collaborative efforts and achievements in expanding housing options for Bahraini citizens.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Ahmed Kamel Al Sharaf, Director of the Developer Affairs Relations Department at the ministry, emphasized several key initiatives. These include the 'Tamouh' and 'Off-Plan Purchase' programmes, which focus on government and private land development schemes. Additionally, he highlighted the ministry's upgraded 'Bayti' digital platform, designed to broaden housing choices and expedite project delivery.

Khalid Al Khaja, Senior Manager of Sales and Marketing at Eskan Bank, outlined the bank's commitment to utilizing digital technologies in real estate development. He noted that the 'Bayti' platform now hosts approximately 13,000 units and facilitates online tracking of housing applications by citizens, developers, and banks. This development is a significant milestone in Bahrain's journey toward the digital transformation of public services.

The collaboration between the ministry and Eskan Bank has resulted in strengthened public-private partnerships, diversified housing opportunities, and the implementation of innovative digital solutions. These efforts aim to enhance access to social housing for citizens in Bahrain, showcasing the country's proactive approach in addressing housing needs.
