Horse-drawn carriage rides set for Friday

Horse-drawn carriages accommodating each seven persons will be provided tomorrow, Friday, at the King Faisal beachfront corniche in Manama.

Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) announced the entertainment activity to give tourists, visitors, citizens and residents the opportunity to take horse-carriage rides in the open air.

“Tickets for the twenty-minute journey will be sold on site on the basis of BD1 per person”, said a BTEA statement, requested those wishing to enjoy the ride to come early and book for this special service, especially at sunset.

The entertainment horse-drawn carriages have been lined as part of BTEA-programme, marking the Arab Tourism Day, annually observed on February 25.

“This new activity is part of a programme aimed to provide a diverse and integrated package of entertainment options for tourists, visitors, citizens and residents,” said BTEA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Nasser Al Qaidi, stressing the importance of partnering with the private sector to implement qualitative initiatives that enrich the tourism sector in Bahrain.
