Manama: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of the Sultanate of Oman held a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting discussed political and economic issues and files of mutual interest to both countries. Both leaders emphasized the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation and expanding the horizons of the strategic partnership between their countries. This includes fostering greater investment flows, increasing economic and commercial exchanges, and exploring new avenues for collaboration to promote sustainable economic development and realize their mutual interests.
HM Sultan of Oman and HE French President witnessed the signing of 12 agreements, a memorandum of understanding, and declarations of intent between the two countries. A noteworthy Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the fields of logistics, ports, and the Muscat Metro project between the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of Oman and the French Ministry of Transport. The agreement was signed for Oman by Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, and for France by Philippe Tabarot, Minister of Transport.
