HM King Welcomes US Central Command Navy Commander to Bahrain

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received Vice Admiral Curt Renshaw, the newly appointed Commander of the United States Naval Forces Central Command and Fifth Fleet Commander, at Al Sakhir Palace.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King welcomed Vice Admiral Renshaw and congratulated him on assuming his new role. His Majesty expressed his hopes for the Vice Admiral's success in bolstering Bahraini-American cooperation and advancing security and peace in the region.

His Majesty the King highlighted the strong and historic ties between Bahrain and the United States, emphasizing their continuous development, particularly in military and defence cooperation. He noted that the relationship between the two nations is founded on decades of trust, respect, and shared objectives.

Furthermore, His Majesty praised the United States for its significant contribution to regional security and stability, as well as its efforts to promote international peace. He specifically commended His Excellency Donald Trump, the US President, for his role in the success of the Sharm El Sheikh Summit for Peace, efforts to end the Gaza conflict, and initiatives to foster peace in the Middle East.

Vice Admiral Renshaw expressed his gratitude for His Majesty's dedication to enhancing strategic relations and bilateral cooperation across various domains.
