Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (40) of 2026, which outlines a restructuring of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA). This decision follows a proposal from the Prime Minister and has received the necessary approval from the Cabinet.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree specifies the reconstitution of the TRA Board with Mona Al Sayed Ali Al Hashemi appointed as Chairperson. Other appointed members include Major-General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Colonel Sabah Ali Al Binali, Aamal Ahmed Al Abbasi, and Musaab Mohammed Ahmed. These members will serve on the board for a term of four years.
The decree assigns the Prime Minister the responsibility of implementing its provisions, which are effective immediately upon issuance. The details of the decree will also be published in the Official Gazette to ensure public accessibility and transparency.
