Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (101) of 2024, regarding the restructuring of the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA). This decision follows the proposal of the Prime Minister and the approval of the Cabinet. According to Bahrain News Agency, the new structure of the BQA will have a Chief Executive, ranked at the level of Undersecretary, who will oversee several directorates. These include the Human Resources and Finance Directorate, the Planning and Projects Directorate, and the Information Technology Directorate. Additionally, a Deputy Chief Executive, ranked at the level of Assistant Undersecretary, will oversee the School and Kindergarten Performance Review Directorate, the Higher Education and Vocational Training Institutions Performance Review Directorate, the National Framework Operations Directorate, and the National Examinations Directorate. The decree also repeals Decree (80) of 2019, which previously governed the restructuring of the BQA. The Prime Minis ter has been tasked with implementing this new decree, which is effective immediately upon its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
