Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (13) of 2026 to reorganize the Civil Service Bureau. This decision follows a proposal by the Prime Minister and has received the Cabinet's approval.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the reorganization includes several structural changes within the Civil Service Bureau. The President of the Civil Service Bureau will now oversee multiple directorates and general directorates. These include the Compliance and Professional Conduct Directorate and the Director General of Institutional Services, which will manage the Human and Financial Resources Directorate and the Human Resources Systems Development Directorate.
Furthermore, the Director General of Shared Human Resources Services has been tasked with overseeing the Shared Human Resources Services Operations Directorate and the Shared Human Resources Services Control Directorate. Similarly, the Director General of Organisation and Workforce Planning will supervise the Organisation and Administrative Engineering Directorate, Workforce Planning and Budgeting Directorate, and Job Evaluation Directorate.
The reorganization also includes the Director General of Human Resources Affairs, who will oversee the Recruitment and Transfer Directorate, Performance Management Directorate, and Talent Development Directorate. Additionally, the Director General of Institutional Efficiency will manage the Institutional Performance Directorate and Institutional Excellence Directorate.
Moreover, the Director General of Strategies and Policies is set to oversee the Strategic Planning and Research Directorate, Policies and Regulations Affairs Directorate, and Wages and Employment Benefits Directorate. Decree (49) of 2012, which previously reorganized the Civil Service Bureau, has been repealed. The Prime Minister is tasked with implementing the new decree, which takes effect immediately and will be published in the Official Gazette.
