Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Simon Martin, Charg© d'Affaires of the United Kingdom's Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain. His Majesty the King welcomed the UK Charg© d'Affaires and wished him success in his diplomatic duties. They discussed the strong bilateral ties between Bahrain and the UK and means to further develop cooperation. His Majesty expressed pride in the longstanding ties and close partnership between the Kingdom and the UK, and the extensive cooperation and joint efforts between the two countries across various domains.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King affirmed keenness to further developing these strategic ties and expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, for the benefit of both countries and their peoples. His Majesty commended the UK's important role regionally and internationally, and its efforts to promote security, stability and peace.
For his part, the UK Charg© d'Affaires expressed appreciation to His Majesty for his efforts to enhance the close cooperation between the two countries.
