Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable expressing support and loyalty from Shaikh Abdulhussain Shaikh Khalaf Al Asfoor, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA). The cable was signed by Shaikh Al Asfoor, in his capacity as head of the Al Asfoor family.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Al Asfoor affirmed that the Al Asfoor family of the Kingdom of Bahrain and neighbouring GCC countries expressed appreciation for the security in the Kingdom and for its leadership in maintaining national security, protecting the country, and upholding its principles. He emphasised that the family renewed its allegiance to His Majesty the King, stressing its firm commitment to His Majesty's leadership and policies, which have reinforced security and preserved the Kingdom's unity and sovereignty.
He underscored that the family also expressed support for His Majesty's statements, noting that it reflects a clear vision to safeguard the Kingdom, protect its interests, confront challenges, and uphold national dignity.
Shaikh Al Asfoor further commended the directives issued by His Majesty the King to the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to take measures aimed at preserving the Kingdom's security, stability, and prosperity, particularly in light of the delicate, sensitive, and critical circumstances facing the region.
The Al Asfoor family affirmed it will remain loyal to the Kingdom and its values and that they will continue to support national efforts and consolidate unity under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to advance the Kingdom's progress, strength, dignity, and honour.
