HH UAE President Meets Greek Prime Minister to Strengthen Strategic Partnership

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, welcomed Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, during his official visit to the UAE. According to Bahrain News Agency, both leaders reviewed bilateral relations and explored new avenues for cooperation, focusing on economic, investment, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors. This meeting took place within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership that exists between the two nations. Marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Greece, the leaders highlighted their commitment to advancing ties in support of mutual interests. Discussions also touched upon developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and international security and stability. Prime Minister Mitsotakis expressed Greece's condemnation of Iranian attacks on civilian facilities and infrastructure in the UAE and the region. He emph asized that such actions violate sovereignty and international law. The visit also saw the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in artificial intelligence and technology. The MoU was signed by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and George Gerapetritis, Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs.
