HM King receives HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, group of Bahraini youth

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received at Sakhir Palace today his Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and SCYS First Deputy Chairman, President of the General Sport Authority (GSA), President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who introduced to him a host of Bahraini youth marking the Bahraini Youth Day, which is observed on March 25.

They all expressed most sincere thanks and gratitude to HM the King for his support and encouragement to the Bahraini youth to contribute to the kingdom’s civilizational development march.

In his address, HM the King expressed appreciation of the dedicated efforts of the Bahraini youth to ensure more growth and advancement for the kingdom. He wished them more success in bringing about further achievements, directing the competent officials to continue developing the youth-oriented programmes. He praised the remarkable excellence of Bahraini youngsters at the local and international level, most notably in this critical period which requires great patience and an exceptional work to brave the dangers posed by the pandemic.

HM the King urged the Bahraini youth to protect Bahrain’s resources and assume their responsibilities of immunizing the kingdom’s humanitarian model calling for coexistence, tolerance and unity. He also directed to name this year “the Year of Bahraini Youth” in tribute for the success achieved by Bahraini youngsters.

HM the King also gave his directives to name one of the kingdom’s roads ‘the Road of Bahraini Youth” in appreciation of the youth’s role in serving their nation and tireless work to develop their skills for a better future of the nation.

Then, the Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs, Aymen Tawfiq Al Moayed, delivered a speech in which he paid tribute to HM the King for his continuous support to the Bahraini youth, pointing out the establishment of SCYS in 1975 and commending the royal directives to name 2022 “the Year of Bahraini Youth”.

The minister lauded the youth’s contribution to upholding the kingdom’s name and image worldwide and promoting the message of peace, coexistence and Arabism. He also praised the support of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs underscored the key role played by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in paving the way for the Bahraini youth and honing their skills to shine at the local and international level.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa presented HM the King with a commemorative gift on the occasion.
