Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa ratified and issued Law (10) of 2026, which approves the agreement between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the International Date Council for establishing the headquarters of the International Dates Observatory in Bahrain. This ratification follows the approval of the agreement by both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was initially signed in Bahrain on September 22, 2025. The new law mandates the Prime Minister and the Ministers to implement its provisions, with the law becoming effective the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
