Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has ratified and issued Law (13) of 2026, which approves the Unified Law on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States. This move follows the law’s approval by both the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Prime Minister and the Ministers are tasked with implementing the provisions of this law. The law is set to come into force on the day following its publication in the Official Gazette.
