Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, issued Decree (97) of 2024, appointing the Minister of Legal Affairs as Acting Minister of Labour. This decision was based on a proposal from the Prime Minister and received the Cabinet's approval. According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree stipulates that the Minister of Legal Affairs will assume the responsibilities of the Minister of Labour for a duration of three months. This is in addition to their existing duties within the Ministry of Legal Affairs. The decree was set into effect from the date of its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette, ensuring transparency and public access to this governmental change.
