HM King Issues Decree (100) of 2024 Restructuring Ministry of Education.

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Decree (100) of 2024, restructuring the Ministry of Education based on the proposal of the Minister of Education and following the approval of the Cabinet. The decree outlines a comprehensive reorganization aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the Ministry. According to Bahrain News Agency, the decree specifies the restructuring of the Ministry into several directorates and positions. The Minister of Education will oversee the newly organized structure, which includes the Directorate of Communication and Attachés, Directorate of Evaluation and Performance, and Directorate of Risk Assessment and Legal Affairs. Additionally, a Director-General of School Affairs, holding the rank of Undersecretary, will supervise multiple divisions. The Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Services will oversee the Directorate of Guidance and Knowledge Resources, Directorate of Student Activities, and Directorate of Physical Education. Meanwhile, the Assi stant Undersecretary for Education will manage four Educational Operations Directorates, each covering different regions. The Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services is tasked with overseeing the Directorate of Human Resources and Teacher Training, Directorate of Financial Resources, Directorate of Educational Facilities, and Directorate of Information Technology and Digital Education. Furthermore, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education will supervise the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Policies and Learning Development, as well as the Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Educational Licensing. The decree also repeals Royal Decree (51) of 2023, which previously restructured the Ministry of Education. The Minister of Education is responsible for implementing Decree (100) of 2024, which is effective immediately and will be published in the Official Gazette.
