Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received Dr. Fatema Abduljabbar Al Kooheji, Chairwoman of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS), along with other members of the society at Al Safriya Palace. During this meeting, His Majesty praised the BBS for its significant contributions to the national economy through its various programmes aimed at training and empowering women entrepreneurs. He emphasized the crucial role that Bahraini women play in the economic and commercial sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty the King lauded the society's proactive participation in regional and international conferences and forums. This involvement not only enhances Bahrain's global standing but also showcases the achievements of Bahraini women. His Majesty remarked on the vital contributions of Bahraini women, noting that their efforts have underscored their competence and advanced their roles across various sectors.
His Majesty also expressed gratitude for the society's initiatives aimed at developing economic and trade relations with relevant institutions both within Bahrain and internationally. This, he noted, reflects the esteemed status of Bahraini women throughout the kingdom's history.
Furthermore, His Majesty the King expressed pride in the accomplishments of Bahraini women in national affairs. He highlighted their active involvement in development, decision-making, political participation, and their attainment of leadership positions at various levels. On their part, Dr. Al Kooheji and the members of the BBS conveyed their appreciation to His Majesty for his continued support and guidance in advancing the role of Bahraini women within the Kingdom.
