HM King Hamad Receives New BCCI Board of Directors

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received the newly appointed members of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), chaired by Nabeel Khaled Kanoo. His Majesty emphasized the crucial role of the BCCI in supporting and developing the commercial and industrial sectors, marking it as an active partner in the Kingdom's economic progress.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty congratulated the board members for earning the confidence of the commercial and industrial sector, lauding the chamber's significant contribution to the national economy since its inception in 1910. He affirmed his support for the commercial and economic community, encouraging continued contributions to development plans and stressing the importance of collective efforts to preserve national gains and strengthen the economy.

His Majesty also acknowledged the efforts of the previous BCCI Board, led by Sameer Nass, for their dedication to the commercial sector and their role in advancing the economic trajectory. He noted Bahrain's resilience through challenging times, crediting the unity and confidence of its citizens and the readiness of the Bahrain Defence Force for maintaining national stability.

In addressing past adversities, His Majesty assured that all citizens would be compensated for property losses due to Iranian attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure, reflecting a commitment to safeguard citizens' rights and mitigate the impact of such incidents.

Nabeel Khaled Kanoo, on behalf of the BCCI, expressed gratitude to His Majesty for his unwavering support, confirming the chamber's commitment to its programs and its role in bolstering the private sector's contribution to economic development. The BCCI board members also thanked His Majesty for initiatives like the draft law to pay insured Bahrainis' salaries in the private sector, and programs to defer loans and provide liquidity, demonstrating His Majesty's dedication to economic and commercial advancement in Bahrain.
