Doha: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa extended his condolences to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, following the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The meeting took place at Lusail Palace in Doha, where His Majesty also expressed his sympathy to other members of the Al Thani family, including the Deputy Amir and the Prime Minister.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty lauded the late Father Amir's contributions to Qatar's development and his efforts in strengthening the Gulf Cooperation Council. His Majesty emphasized the close personal and professional relationship he shared with the late Father Amir, highlighting his role as a friend and a distinguished statesman who worked tirelessly for the welfare of his people and the Arab and Islamic nations.
His Majesty expressed confidence in HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani's ability to continue the legacy of progress and prosperity established by the late Father Amir. His Highness Sheikh Tamim expressed gratitude for the condolences, acknowledging the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Qatar.
Accompanying His Majesty were key figures such as HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, and Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, among others. The delegation underscored the significance of the relationship between the two nations.
Following the condolence visit, His Majesty King Hamad returned to the Kingdom of Bahrain, reaffirming the strong bonds and mutual respect between Bahrain and Qatar.
