Capital Governor Inaugurates Gulf University Technology Innovation Exhibition

Adliya: Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Governor of the Capital Governorate, inaugurated the Technology Innovation Exhibition organised by Gulf University in cooperation with the Graduates Club as part of the "Manama Capital of Young Arab Entrepreneurs 2026" initiatives. The exhibition was held at the Isa bin Salman Cultural Hall at the Graduates Club headquarters in Adliya.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the exhibition featured a range of projects developed by students from various faculties at Gulf University, showcasing solutions and ideas in technology, artificial intelligence, engineering, business administration, law, media and other disciplines. These projects reflect the ability of Bahraini youth to apply knowledge and innovation in serving the community.

During his tour of the exhibition, the Capital Governor viewed the students' projects and was briefed on their concepts and implementation. He commended the high academic and creative standards demonstrated by the projects, describing them as promising examples of national talent.

Shaikh Khalid bin Humood stated that supporting initiatives that foster young people's creativity represents an investment in the Kingdom's future, noting that universities play a key role in preparing national talent equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to keep pace with rapid developments across various sectors.

The Capital Governor praised the quality of the projects on display, noting that they reflected an advanced level of creativity and excellence. He underscored the importance of providing more platforms that enable students to showcase their ideas and transform them into initiatives and projects with a positive impact on society. The governor also commended the efforts of Gulf University and the Graduates Club in organising the exhibition and supporting national talent, promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and preparing national cadres capable of meeting the requirements of sustainable development.

Abdul Latif Ahmed Al Zayani, Chairman of the Graduates Club Board of Directors, mentioned that the exhibition reflects the club's commitment to supporting scientific and youth initiatives and enhancing cooperation with higher education institutions to promote a culture of innovation. He added that the exhibition facilitates the exchange of expertise and reinforces the club's role in hosting cultural and scientific events that serve the community. Professor Dr. Muna bint Rashid Al Zayani, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and Board of Directors of Gulf University, stated that the university places innovation and creativity at the heart of its academic mission by providing an advanced learning environment that enables students to transform their knowledge into practical applications and projects that meet labour market needs.

At the conclusion of the event, the Capital Governor honoured a number of outstanding students in recognition of their achievements, encouraging them to continue pursuing excellence and innovation.
