Washington: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain arrived in Washington, DC, to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Board of Peace, at the invitation of His Excellency Donald Trump, President of the United States of America. His arrival was marked by a warm reception from Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to the US, alongside several senior officials.
According to Bahrain News Agency, His Majesty expressed gratitude for President Trump’s invitation to the meeting and reiterated Bahrain’s steadfast commitment to supporting global initiatives aimed at enhancing security, peace, and stability in the Middle East and beyond. He emphasized the importance of dialogue and cooperation in addressing regional and international challenges.
The King acknowledged President Trump’s efforts to foster sustainable peace in the Gaza Strip, support its reconstruction, and implement a comprehensive peace plan for Gaza. His Majesty highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to joint action in addressing crises and promoting peaceful solutions through dialogue and diplomacy. He stressed the importance of protecting civilians, safeguarding interests, and laying the groundwork for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.
