Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa held a telephone call with His Excellency Abdel Fattah El Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The two leaders highlighted the distinguished relations between the two countries and efforts to further strengthen cooperation across various sectors to serve common interests.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the leaders also discussed recent regional developments, particularly the situation in the Gaza Strip. His Majesty the King and HE President El Sisi emphasized the necessity of full implementation of the ceasefire agreement, the urgent and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, and the immediate commencement of reconstruction efforts to restore normal life for Gaza's residents.
Both leaders underscored their firm rejection of any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land and stressed that the Palestinian cause remains a top priority on the Arab and international agendas. They also agreed on the importance of fully implementing His Excellency President Donald Trump's peace plan in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803, as a framework for achieving a just and comprehensive peace.
The two leaders agreed to continue communications and coordination on issues of mutual interest, particularly in light of the challenging circumstances in the region, to strengthen Arab unity and serve the interests of their peoples.
