HM King: Bahrain will remain an oasis of peace and a beacon of religious freedoms

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa hailed the Team Bahrain’s national efforts, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, lauding the tangible success and positive progress in the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

He expressed thanks and appreciation to all the members of Team Bahrain and medical, health and nursing frontliners and other supporting parties, hailing their successful efforts and active role during the Ashoora season, which contributed to protecting citizens and residents’ health and safety.

HM the King also lauded the efforts of all competent institutions and agencies, citing the Ministry of Interior, Jafferi Endowments Council, heads of community centres and supervisory committees and teams of volunteers.

He praised their follow-up, smooth and meticulous organization, as well well their responsibility and compliance with the mandatory precautionary measures and health protocols set by the National Medical Taskforce for Combating COVID-19 to ensure people’s safety.

He extended thanks to scholars and religious figures for their efforts to protect human lives against any dangers or harm, hailing the spirit of national responsibility in dealing with the current challenges, which reigned during the Ashoora season.

He commended the cautious and disciplined measures, and the care and attention which marked this occasion to revive its essence in a manner that is commensurate with its value, stemming from Bahrain’s social cohesion, peaceful coexistence and harmony.

“Bahrain will remain, thanks to our civilized model and national will, a human beacon for religious freedoms and respect of sectarian pluralism, as well as a centre incubating the values of our true religion with its great principles and its righteous approach”, said HM the King.

Bahrain, by embracing, revering and protecting religious liberties in its various rituals, is a true expression of the openness of our society, and the ability of our country to live in civilized coexistence in its past and present”, he added, affirming that the Kingdom will remain an oasis of fraternity and a beacon of peace for its people and all residents on its land.

“May Allah accept our good deeds, help us to serve our religion and unify us”, said HM the King, praying to God Almighty to bless us with with security, safety, health and wellness, and to expedite the end of this pandemic in Bahrain, Muslim countries and the world at large.
