Salalah: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Salalah on a private visit to the Sultanate of Oman, at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. His Majesty the Sultan of Oman led the welcoming ceremony and wished His Majesty the King and the accompanying delegation a pleasant stay in Oman.
According to Bahrain News Agency, among those who also welcomed His Majesty were several prominent figures including His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said; His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad Al Said, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman; and His Highness Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. Other dignitaries present were Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court of Oman; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; and Faisal bin Harib Al Busaidi, Ambassador of Oman to Bahrain.
A guard of honour welcomed His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Sultan. Following the formalities, Their Majesties proceeded to Bait Al Rabat in Salalah, marking the beginning of the King's visit.
