HM King Appoints New Heads of Diplomatic Missions for Bahrain

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued Decree (46) of 2025, announcing the appointment of new Heads of Diplomatic Missions for the Kingdom of Bahrain. This decree outlines significant diplomatic changes for Bahrain, with new ambassadors appointed to key positions in Belgium, Thailand, and Germany.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mohammed Ali Bahzad has been appointed as the Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission to the Kingdom of Belgium. He will serve at the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, taking over from Ambassador Abdullah Faisal Jabr Al Dosari. This appointment marks a significant transition in Bahrain's diplomatic representation in Belgium.

In a similar move, Khalil Yaqoub Al Khayyat has been appointed as the Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission to the Kingdom of Thailand, also at the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He succeeds Ambassador Mona Abbas Mahmood Radhi, representing a strategic shift in Bahrain's diplomatic engagement with Thailand.

Furthermore, Ahmed Ibrahim Al Qurainees has been named as the Head of Bahrain's Diplomatic Mission to the Federal Republic of Germany. He assumes this role at the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, succeeding Ambassador Abdullah Abdullatif Abdullah. This change underscores Bahrain's commitment to strengthening its diplomatic ties with Germany.

The decree mandates that the Minister of Foreign Affairs implement its provisions, with immediate effect from the date of issuance. The decree will also be published in the Official Gazette, ensuring transparency and accountability in Bahrain's diplomatic appointments.
