Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received a cable of thanks from Nabeel Khaled Kanoo, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). Chairman Kanoo expressed gratitude on behalf of himself, the Board of Directors, and the business community in Bahrain for the meeting with His Majesty and for his directives and vision.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the BCCI Chairman praised the King's emphasis on the Chamber's role in supporting and developing the commercial and industrial sectors, noting it as a national responsibility. Kanoo highlighted the need for further efforts to strengthen the Chamber's role as a key partner in Bahrain's economic development and decision-making processes.
Kanoo also appreciated the King's acknowledgment of the Chamber's historical contributions to the national economy and affirmed their commitment to enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy and supporting sustainable development.
In expressing gratitude, Kanoo noted the King's support for the business community and his commitment to strengthening its role in development plans. He also appreciated the royal directives aimed at compensating citizens for property damage, which he described as a humanitarian approach reflecting the King's commitment to citizen rights and stability.
The Chairman further thanked the King for backing economic initiatives that stabilize the labour market and bolster the national economy. This includes support for Bahraini salaries in the private sector, liquidity support programs, and loan deferrals, which have been vital for the private sector's role in development and job creation.
Kanoo concluded by wishing for Bahrain's continued security, stability, progress, and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
